Camel Friday. By S.

I mean camel as in color, not as in animal...

So, it's time to show off a bit. I am going to show off about the weather in Mexico City. It's usually quite mild all year around and winter months especially are lovely because it can get quite sunny and although temperatures are cooler it's perfect for sitting out. Here I am sitting in my terrace wearing my camel-colored suede boots purchased in Saks 5th Av. alongside my Prada bag. Now that's showing off...

And here is our golden retriever Jambo, looking very regal also dressed in camel (!)

I love how flowers in Mexico bloom all year around, check out my azaleas!

HAVE A HAPPY HAPPY WEEK END!!!!!!

Flying Houses. By S.

"These images..., are they paintings or are they photographs?" That is precisely what I asked myself when I set my eyes upon them for the first time. Well, it turns out that they are in fact photographs, incredible but true, and they are the creation of the French photographer Laurent Chehere. This Parisian, who used to be in advertising, one day decided to drop everything and dedicate his life to his true passions, traveling and photography.

I love his management of color, as well as the way he has handled the images to make them look ethereal, even surreal.

A cloud in a room. By S.

One of my favorite blogs, The AH list (who just happens to belong to my dear niece Alexandra Hopf!), recently published a post on the work of the talented Dutch artist and inventor Bernaudt Smilde who has managed to create small clouds in indoor spaces.

It seems that the clouds evaporate almost immediately, but before doing so Smilde has been able to photograph them. The images are truly beautiful, almost surreal.

It's snowing in NY. By S.

Just the other day, on Tuesday 6th November (Election Day), I posted an image my husband took with his Blackberry from an office building in New York where he's spending a few days on a business trip. The picture was beautiful, the sun was shining and the sky was blue. Today, he sent me another picture with a very different view... It has snowed, it's very cold and the sky is covered in clouds.

A peaceful view of Manhattan. By S

Look at this peaceful view of downtown Manhattan taken from an office building. What ideal weather for such an important event: Election Day. My husband took this picture on his Blackberry just this morning, he's currently in New York on a business trip. And to think that just a few days ago the city was engulfed in a terrible storm...

Everybody talks!... By M.

I made this video this summer on the beach in the South of Spain. I had so much fun this summer and this video reflects it all, from the waves to the wind. I filmed this entire video in one day with my iPhone. I used my brother Pepe and my Aunt Becky's dog Yus as my actors.

Enjoy!!

Breast Cancer Awareness Month. By S.

October is an important month for women, it's Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This cause is specially dear to my heart because I lost my mother to breast cancer when she was only 47 years old. If her cancer had been detected on time she would still be with us. So, to all the women that are out there and read my post...

PLEASE GO AND GET CHECKED!

Wish List. By S.

It's Monday and I am a firm believer in starting the week off on the right foot. So, a great way to do so is with great optimism and by making a little list of all those things I'd love to own... soon... I hope. I guess it gets me motivated and energized for the rest of the week. So, without further ado...here is my much desired wish list!

A Bloom Theory embellished strap for my camera.
When I bumped into this little thing for the first time it was literally l-o-v-e at first sight.

A cute KARMA necklace from one of my favorite jewelry lines, Dogeared.
What goes around, comes around.

This striped T-shirt from The Hip Tee.
It would look perfect with my military parka from Urban Outfitters.

A poster painting by Alexandra Hopf. The lyrics are from the song "Sweet Disposition" by the The Temper Trap.
I can just see it hanging in any chic girl's room.

A natural python clutch by Anna Vosak.
A luxuriously chic but very trendy accessory at an affordable price, perfect for a night out on the town, or maybe even just lunch with the girls.

A Muuto lamp for my desk.
Because I really need one and because I love the simplicity of Scandinavian design.

A weekend away. By S.

I'm going away this weekend, just my husband and I. The kids are being left behind... (sniff not). I'm looking froward to a bit of quality time with my other half, it's good to get away alone once in a while, I think. We're flying to the state of Chiapas to an important event: my husband's closest childhood friend has been elected mayor of the state's capital city, Tuxtla Gutierrez, and it's his swearing in on Sunday. So, it's not as if it's a romantic getaway, but at least it's getting away from the house and the daily routine of things. What plans have you got for the weekend?
