A wooly sense of style. By S.

I love it when I unexpectedly come across talented designers who think out of the box. I love being surprised! That is precisely what happened when I discovered the very unique pieces of the British designer-maker Melanie Porter. A knitted cushion is nothing out of the ordinary, but what about a knitted lampshade or chair? As well as creating fabulously chunky cushions and throws, Porter also takes second-hand vintage pieces and reimagines them with knitted covers. Maybe not too great for the warmer climates, but in the Northern hemisphere where autumn is creeping up these soft colorful pieces will be more than welcome, I am sure.

A weekend away. By S.

I'm going away this weekend, just my husband and I. The kids are being left behind... (sniff not). I'm looking froward to a bit of quality time with my other half, it's good to get away alone once in a while, I think. We're flying to the state of Chiapas to an important event: my husband's closest childhood friend has been elected mayor of the state's capital city, Tuxtla Gutierrez, and it's his swearing in on Sunday. So, it's not as if it's a romantic getaway, but at least it's getting away from the house and the daily routine of things. What plans have you got for the weekend?

Quirky home. By S.

Don't you absolutely love this home? It belongs to Lucy Fenton and it's so full of personality, color and charm! What I really love about it is that it feels homey and spontaneous, nothing about it is constrained, rigid or stiff. There are quirky and unexpected decor objects strewn around in a joyful carefree way.

It's the kind of home you want to spend lots of time in, discovering all of its little treasures. Have you checked out the bunnies sitting on top of the fireplace in the drawing room in the first picture?! And the Orangina poster in the dining room? And what about the wicked plant growing out of the strange shoe...? That's in the image with all the colorful crosses on the wall.

If you love this house and want to see more take a look at Lucy's shop fenton&fenton, you won't regret it!

The Cinderella Shoe with a red sole!... By M.

When a woman thinks of a perfect shoe, two things come to mind. The most legendary shoe ever, that magical crystal shoe that cinderella lost, and the most wanted shoe label, Christian Louboutin!!!!! So when you put the crystal and the red soul together it just can't get any better. This video is my favorite video of the year, I have watched it a thousand times and I just feel like I am watching every woman's shoe fairytale.
