A suzani is a a decorative
tribal textile made in Afghanistan, Uzbekistan, and other Central Asian
countries. Suzani (or needlework) goes in hand with that region’s amazing
embroideries. These past few years with the fall of the Iron Curtain we have
witnessed a remarkable revival of this old traditional art, and its use in
interior design in the Western world has boomed. And it’s not difficult to see why, I mean
who wouldn’t want one of these in their home?

Abierto... By M.
I found this ABIERTO (open) sign while shopping with my mom. If you want to add something special and different to a room a sign like this is a great idea.
You can find some marquee lights on www.urbanoutfitters.com. You can also get any letter of the alphabet.

Mexican treasure. By S.
These beautiful embroideries
are handmade by Mexican Otomi Indians, an indigenous group from Central Mexico.
The designs are based on traditional patterns and are adorned with both real
and mythological animals.
