Wimbledon and summers. By S.

Wimbledon always brings me back to fond and happy memories. When I was a girl away at boarding school television was not allowed. There was a big boxy television in the main hall but it was never turned on except, that is, when the summer term was about to end and our headmaster would gather us all up to watch Wimbledon. After all these years I still remember Bjön Borg’s fifth consecutive Wimbledon win when he defeated a hot-headed John McEnroe in what is cited as the best Wimbledon final ever played.

So, tennis in general and specially Wimbledon always bring me back to those warm sunny days when evenings would stretch on forever and we were allowed to watch television.

I just can't get over McEnroe's hair, however.

Positive thinking. By M.

Tangerine lips. By S.

Quite a shocker, huh? Say hello to the bold and the neon coloured beautiful. This season is all about celebrating lipstick. And the shade that was ubiquitous was the intensely daring tangerine. The good news is that tangerine flatters almost any skin tone, ...or so they say.

Dogs and Fashion... By M.

And my favorite one...

Jambo (our very naughty dog).

Fiddle leaf fig tree. By S.

There has been a recent revival of indoor trees in interior design these past few years. Since the 70's indoor plants were considered unwelcome in most - if not all - fine homes. However, certain plants have crept into the editorials of top interior decor magazines such as Elle Decor and AD these past seasons, and high end interior decorators are introducing them into their design projects. In particular, the fiddle leaf fig tree has been one of the "chosen ones", and you can see why by the pictures I have posted.

I myself purchased a fiddle leaf fig tree for my home a few months ago and I love it, it has been the first EVER indoor tree I have had in my home since I got married 17 years ago (oh yes...). Here it is in the foyer of my house.
