The suzani tsunami. By S.

A suzani is a a decorative tribal textile made in Afghanistan, Uzbekistan, and other Central Asian countries. Suzani (or needlework) goes in hand with that region’s amazing embroideries. These past few years with the fall of the Iron Curtain we have witnessed a remarkable revival of this old traditional art, and its use in interior design in the Western world has boomed. And it’s not difficult to see why, I mean who wouldn’t want one of these in their home?
